While the rest of this website is a kind of an archive, this section represents my current explorations. Most have never been shown in public.

As a self taught painter, I feel that now, as I move from my sixties into my seventies, I am starting to understand what the job is about.

In Urban Scenes and Continuum, I am working in the ‘country’ where I was born and grew up — the suburbs around the waterways of the southwest area of the Sydney Basin.

The Recent Paintings are also located in this suburban ngurra, whether in recognisable landscapes (such as 'Wicks Park, Marrickville' and ‘Sydenham Pit & Drainage Pumping Station’) or in the mindscapes of current political concerns (‘Social Schism’ and ‘Social Cohesion’).

The Drawings from Sydney to Rome were done between 2002 and 2026. They include some of the many landscapes I have walked into in that time, from the Palazzo Donn'Anna in Naples to the Villa Melina on the Greek island of Kalymnos, from Gorlitsky Park in Berlin to Guerrilla Bay on the south coast of New South Wales  and the Cortina Cemetery on Victoria Road, Marrickville While the rest of this website is a kind of an archive, this section represents my current explorations.
